Walking across the streets, Klaus hurriedly runs to the side of his brother, who was walking down the sidewalk. “Hello, Finn.”
The older brother looks from him then back to the sidewalk, “Hello, Niklaus. I have nothing to say to you.”
“Well, I’m not here to chat.” Smiling a dimpled smirk, “I will ask you one time though, is there anyone new in town?” Each sibling has his/her own obligation to the town. Finn, being the older brother, is the one in charge of looking out for anyone new around town, just for precaution.
Klaus is the ruler. Elijah is the King’s right hand. Kol is the one to keep the family updated for any threats from the other supernatural beings around town. Rebekah — well, she has her own ways of serving the town.
Still with a nonchalant look on his face, Finn replies, “Gone to find another way to end abominable lives? If you do, I will ask mother to link us and I will sacrifice myself all over again.”
“Well, how fortunate that I found you, I require your assistance.”
Finn grins in the most sarcastic way, “I have no wish to help you. Only to see you dead.” The older sibling has an accent but in no way British.
Klaus, quick with his wit, replies, “Right, well, that’s the thing; you see, you won’t be able to see me dead, because if I die, then you die. So, wish unfulfilled, I’m afraid.”
“Oh, bother someone else with your hollowed charms, Niklaus.” Smirking as he hears the annoyed tone of his brother, Klaus gently gives Finn’s shoulder a nudge. “Why? Why not come bother my big brother? I need you to tell me what you have learned about the new people in town. It is not a wish, it is a demand.”
“I have no desire to assist you.” They stop walking.
Klaus moves in front of Finn and places his hand on his chest to stop him from moving on. Gazing into his brother with as much hostility as he could, he threatens, “Again with the wishes.” Pausing, “Let me rephrase, you will help me or I will put you back in that coffin in which you rotted for 900 years.”
“No.”
Klaus suddenly clambers the front of Finn’s shirt, lifting him up. Finn’s feet dangles two inches above the ground. But he doesn’t react much to it but with just a flinch. “What are you gonna do? Kill me?”
“Oh yeah, that’s right, you’ve got a death wish. Fine, pathetic, but fine.” Klaus gently puts him down the ground. “The thing is, I’m not as horrible as the man you think I am. Give me the list of the new people around town and I will not touch a hair in your precious Sage.” Without waiting for a reply, he hurries out of the streets and runs to his car in human speed.
Climbing in the back seat, he turns his head to find Elijah in the driver’s seat. They exchange a discern look and the car started moving away. Words didn’t seem that important when you’ve been with the same person for over a thousand years. Klaus brings his phone to his ear, “Yes, Damon. I am on my way.” There was a long pause from Klaus' end, “That’s the thing, I may be going after all.”
